Internal battery error. Port area extremely hot

[AC Question]

Last week my s7 edge started giving me charging issues and was running very hot. Lost battery while charging overnight. Several times received a message "internal battery error" I was away from home using rapid charger. By the end of the week the phone was dead in not charging. When I returned home placed it on wireless charger charged completely but still running "warm" not as hot previously but warmer than I recall . Any suggestions not able to charge from Port.
