My mum has a samsung tablet and likes to play games on it - when she is using it for this she receives a message at the bottom of the tablet as follows:

When playing a game sometimes the message appears bottom, of screen (3)virus detected scan & remove virus now. Click on this screen shows:
DU SPEED BOOST & CLEANER.Du APPS STUDIO PEGI 3.
(Then a box shows at bottom saying install)

How can she stop this happening?

Re: Message on samsung tablet for du speed boost & cleaner

It may originate from a third-party app, such as a free game. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, which temporarily disables such apps, that is what is indicated. In that case, exit Safe Mode and identify the most likely suspect apps, starting with the one installed just before the pop-ups started. Go to Settings, Apps, All, suspect app, Clear Cache, Clear Data, Force Stop, and Uninstall.

The pop-up message is, of course, a scareware tactic.

Any further problems, let us know. :)

Welcome to Android Central! If it only happens with certain games, then it's probably an ad that's associated with the game itself. Nothing is really free any more, so if she installs "free" games, they're going to be chock full of ads.
