Why is my 4G symbol flickering when on Wifi on my Note 4?

I got the original 6.0.1 Android Rom on my Note 4. Since the last update my 4G symbol is showing up when I am connected to WiFi. It is not showing permanently but once in two seconds, than disappears. It is annoying when you read something or look at the screen and got this flickering in the status bar.

You may need to wipe system cache via recovery mode. Always best place to start first.

Is your wifi connection stable?

Do you have the option that uses both mobile data and wifi depending on which has a better connection to data? (Forgot what the setting is call)

"Smart Network switch"... found in Wifi Advanced settings.

I wiped the cache and it seems it solved the problem, I will come back if it appears again
