I had an S5 that worked well for this; I would hook it up via USB cable to my laptop, and could transfer data around, within it and between the two devices. I just got an S7 yesterday, and although the card is in there, and the phone knows it's there, I can't seem to get it to show anything about it, and although it shows up as a folder in Windows Explorer when I connect the cable, it only shows up as an empty folder. There is no longer a USB Connected item in settings. Some of my apps (that I had put into the SD card on my old phone) didn't come over when I transferred data to the new phone. When I clikc on Storage in settings, I only get usage for internal and SD card; no access to either.
