So... I've searched into this for 6 hours now but didn't find an answer. Hope you can help me.

It's pretty simple. I rooted my phone a year ago or so, and since then I haven't updated my phone. At first, when I tried to, it rebooted and sent me to the TWRP screen. And when I rebooted through it, my phone would function for about 20 seconds and reboot again, every time. So what I had to do was to use the Wipe function.

The problem is, even after unrooting and formating and doing everything I could, the problem is still there: I can't update my phone without it turning off every time and I have to Wipe again. All I want is to have an updated android.

My phone is a Moto G II. I'm quite sure it's unrooted, since I couldn't run Titanium Backup, for exemple. Plus, if I try to update again, is there a way to keep my phone from turning off every time I turn it on? So far the only thing that works is Wiping.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the delay, but if TWRP is installed still that is most likely why, as any OTA update from Motorola recently now seems to require both the bootloader be locked, as well as the original recovery and software be present on the device. Here are a few links that should help:

https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_answer_detail/a_id/91987/p/1449,8620--Moto page explaining how to go back to original software

http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014--Forums from XDA that can get you the steps to return fully to your original software. Which thread you will need to consult will depend on your version of the phone.
