I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab E with Android 6.0.1 - The only way I can open my Gmail is to touch my App icon, a screen full of applications appears but the Gmail icon is NOT among them. I have to hit 'Search' at the top to find it and it is located at the top of an empty page with only the Skype icon for company.

My question: How can I get the Gmail icon to appear on my main screen? If I long-press the Gmail icon, the only thing that happens is that Gmail opens.

    Thank you.

Welcome to the forums. Have you checked if Gmail is included in a folder called Google or Samsung in your app drawer?

Thanks for registering. Have you checked if the Gmail app shows up as hidden/disabled in your app manager?

Application Manager shows Gmail as normal: There are no indications that it is disabled or hidden. Thank you.
