Update Problems

[AC Question]

Two or three months ago, I got an update. I believe I updated to 5.1.1? Since the update, my phone (samsung galaxy grand prime) has been doing something weird. When I turn on my data, it now shows up with an e instead of an h and it takes everything much longer to load than it used to with data. I also randomly lose service at times. I thought if I waited, things would get better but it has been a few months and nothing has changed. Is this something I need to contact my carrior (AT&T) or Android about?
