Ok so let me see if I understand correctly. Your phone is running out of memory for storage, and you got a message telling you this, and you wish to free up storage? OR your phone is running slow because you have too many apps? (or whatever reason) Or is it a data usage issue, you are using your monthly data plan too quickly?

I'm guessing it's the first. The best thing you can do is to uninstall, unused or little used apps, TRY to get rid of some of the bigger ones you do use. Usually this means games. While deleting pictures CAN help usually those do not take up THAT much space, what is MUCH more space consuming is video. Delete any old videos you no longer need or archive them to a computer.
