How do I get rid of home screen popup ads?

Hey guys,

I've just gotten a S7 Edge about a week ago and all is well for the most part, but yesterday I started getting some really unpleasant popup ads on my home screen and I can't get rid of them. I've tried uninstalling the majority of the apps that I may think the adware may be associated with to no avail.

Anyone have any tips other than factory resetting your phone to get rid of this? They seem to just appear on the home screen at random, covering the screen in full, or when I open Facebook.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Try starting it up in safe mode to see what happens.

I get them in safe mode as well.

Almost as soon as I get Facebook notifications or when I use Facebook mostly i've noticed.
