I've had my Galaxy S5 for about a year now. The original charging cable broke pretty quick, but I was able to use a different micro usb cable with no difference in performance. But suddenly, my battery decided to stop charging the same way. My phone is telling me that I am in usb charging mode even though I am plugged into the wall socket. Now the phone doesn't hold a charge unless I'm not using the phone, and what charge it does have depletes very fast. The battery also depletes while charging. Has this happened to anyone else? Are there any possible solutions for this problem?

    Thanks!

My suggestion would be to replace the battery, and ONLY BUY OEM cables and chargers for your device....it does make a difference, and using other accessories, not meant for your device, could result in the issues you're having.
