How can I recover my missing bookmarks

on my ASUS tablet I was in the Browser and It exited me from the application( this is normal for me), usually it just exits all tabs I had open and I have to start again, only this time all of my bookmarks for "local" were gone. not only that but the option to view and save to account bookmarks was gone, also whenever I exit browser and reopen it, the tabs are all closed and gone which didn't happen before. can someone please help me because this is a real pain.

Hi, are you using Chrome or the browser that came with the tablet? also welcome to AC
