Why is my htc one mini only showing H and not 4G?

I'm already using a provider in my country which has 4G ability and the handset is already set to GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto, yet the signal bar in the screen only shows H, where in most smart phones when 4G is enabled the signal bar in the screen will show 4G.
