I recently switched phones. My touch screen on my previous phone does not work, so I am unable to use it for anything. I do, however, have a .vcf backup file of my contacts saved to my PC which I would like to transfer to my Galaxy S6. What folder should I put it into (in the phone's memory) to do so?

As I know, many Android devices natively read VCF files for importing. Just put your .vcf file in any folder in the sdcard, then open your Contacts app. Look for the menu button and press it. Select Import from the list. Next, select Import from external memory. Wait for a while for it to finish.
If not, many third party mobile management apps or software are capable of helping you restore backup contacts, by detecting your phone and analysing your .vcf file automatically. You can easily find apps and software of this kind from Google Play Store or other stores by entering some keywords like "vcf file" and "restore backup contacts" in the search bar.
