Ever since the recent update to android, whenever I add new music to my library, even if the song has the same ID3 tag for artist, it will show the artist twice in the library menu, with the new song being the only one in the duplicate menu. Anyone know why?

Hey - there is a possibility that different characters are used when those ID3 tags were saved - even if they look the same.

Try the 'Clean Up' feature in Music Doctor. If you select 'Clean Artists' it will list all of your artists in alphabetical order and you'll be able to tell if there are some differences. Even if you don't see any differences, you could try to edit those songs - maybe the Media Library Database on the device just needs a good kick!
