Games sounds on with playing songs with headphones plugged in

[AC Question]

This just happened today Sunday 8/21/16. I have my headphones plugged in, the notifications for sounds is turned off, all of the options for other sounds are either turned off or muted but I'm still hearing the games sounds along with the song I'm playing. No sounds coming through the speakers. Any reason why all of a sudden after months with no problems this just starts happening today. I've made no major changes to my system.
