Why one USB flash drive doesn't display its files on my Galaxy Tab but others do?

A

AC Question

I recently needed to import a backup file for an Android app and put it on a Cruzer Glide 32gb stick. When connected to a Galaxy Tab S only the two root directory folders showed and no files. I tried putting other files onto the stick and none showed up. Different sticks one 2gb another 16gb all showed the files correctly. I've formatted the 32gb a number of times as FAT32 on different PCs but it stubbornly refuses to display its files on any tablet although desktop and laptop PCs see the contents no problem. As I said other sticks display fine.

Any ideas? Is the 32gb a goner maybe?

Just realised I was already registered when I left the question above.........I wanted to add a ps......My Galaxy Tab S is running Android 5.02 and another tablet that doesn't see the files is running Android 5.1. My phone is Android 6 and sees the files!!! Confusing for me. Any explanations out there? Thanks.
