How can I stream Showbox from my Galaxy S5 to my tv?

I recently downloaded ShowBox on my Galaxy S5 (5.1.1) and cannot figure out how to mirror it onto my TV. I have tried connecting via WiFi (screen mirroring enabled) with a Smart TV and regular TV, but it is saying device not found. I found so many different apps on my phone and tried most of them without any luck. Some apps were wanting to connect through a hotspot, but I don't have unlimited data on my phone so that's out. I also came across an app that mirrored, but I was only able to mirror videos/pics in my gallery. Anyway, I just ordered a MHL Micro USB to HDMI cable, so I'm hoping that will work. I keep seeing mention of Chromecast and Miracast when researching this issue. Do I need some additional device? What could I be doing wrong?
