I have ATT and I have dropped numerous texts on Android with each phone I had. I moved back and forth from an iPhone and I made sure I did all the things with iMessage to make sure that wasn't hanging it up. AT&Ts best answer was poor signal but that wasn't the case when I would lose the texts. I never had the issue with iPhone and I would love to have an Android again some day. Any ideas why this is happening????

The reason you dont have a problem with this on iPhone is because the way iMessages work. They are sent to their own server. Reason why you can send higher quality pictures and such with iMessages than a sms with Android.

Have you ever checked your actual signal strength? Bars are extremely misinformal on your true signal strength. Do you happen to be in a certain area where this occurs the most often or is it random and happens all over?

May try requesting a new SIMS Card.
