Note 7 Led light dim?

I've seen that my note 7 led is dim when its not getting light hit to it. And when there is light hitting it its bright. im guessing it has something to do with the ambient sensor ?

Are you talking about your screen? It is factory set for brightness to be on auto. You can turn this off by pulling the extended notification shade down and unlocking the auto box next to the screen brightness slider bar.
