How do i backup files on zte tmobile osidian before rooting

Are the contents of my zte or Android tablet backed up at certain intervals or can I choose to back them up at anytime? I am considering rating the two devices and wish to ensure I have the up to the minute backed up files.

Welcome to Android Central! It depends on what contents you're talking about, and what your sync settings are. Data related to Google apps (like Google Photos, Calendar, etc.) should sync automatically with your Google account in the cloud, assuming you have everything set to sync in Settings>Accounts. Photos that you took will only backup to Google Photos if you have Auto Backup turned on. Other files won't automatically sync or backup unless you have a 3rd party backup app installed.
