Can't establish a reliable connection to the server

I have an unlocked Blue Studio 6.0 HD, with Tracfone service. On Wednesday evening, the phone had an OS update. After the update was complete, there was no service for making and receiving calls, but everything else seemed to be fine. After spending over an hour on chat with Tracfone, it was decided, as a last resort, to do a factory reset on the phone. This fixed the service issue, but when I try to go to Google's Play Store, or set up my Gmail account, I get the following error message: Can't establish a reliable connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your Android device may not be provisioned for data services (which it was before the OS update). If it continues, call Customer Care.

Does anyone have a fix for this issue?
