How can I get past my lock screen when my password isn't working? (Galaxy Note 4)

I was using my phone normally today, locked it, and then tried to open it again about 3 hours later when suddenly my password would no longer work. It's a pattern lock and I haven't changed the password in about 3-4 months. I'm absolutely sure I have the right pattern. Unfortunately I think I left that "delete all data after to incorrect attempts" option on. I can't afford to factory reset but I should have a google account set up for the phone. Is there any way for me to get into my phone without risking my data?

Bring the phone to your carrier with proof that the account is yours (like a driver's license). They can unlock it for you.
