I am trying to connect my tablet to my tv

We're all assuming you've connected your tablet to your tv via the HDMI ports, granted the tv's ports will be larger that the tablets.. so you would need an adapter.. Also make sure you channel is set to HDMI. If your tv does not support this option for the HDMI port, Then you might need to upgrade the tv.
