Phone factory reset and now images out of order in gallery

Good afternoon! My phone recently factory reset due to the incorrect password being entered too many times (didn't realize the screen was on and it was in my bag), and all of my photos from the cloud were restored in an odd order, as the dates were no longer being recognized as the date taken, but instead as the date restored. Are there any apps available to manually organize my photos? Or any other suggestions to get them back in order? I have many photos on my phone, and it is quite inconvenient to not be able to find any in my gallery!

You are going to struggle with this and are not the first. There's nothing you can do on the device the only app I know that will allow you total control is Quickpic. However the company behind this app is Cheetah Mobile whose practices are somewhat suspect. Search on this site for them and make your own judgement
