When I go to my file manager to clean up I find question marks in some of the files. I delete them but they always come back. What are they and what causes them

Sounds to me, you need to scan your device for a virus or spy ware. if the device has or post a question mark, typically this means there is an unrecognized folder or file within the device system. I would search what apps you've downloaded recently force stop/disable or uninstall.
