Why does my volume turn up without pressing the button?

I dropped my phone a few weeks ago now the volume button (turning the volume up) has indented in my phone, that wasn't really a problem so I left it and recently I've dropped it again now the volume turns it's self up without pressing the button, just touching my phone turns it up, why? And is there anything I can do to remove the notification for it doing this it's really annoying it flashes up on my screen everytime I touch it? It's a Samsung Galaxy s7. If you've installed a case/cover on your device, remove the case/cover, inspect to see there the molded silicone button covers have been damaged of simply pushed in and need to be readjusted. Afterward reinstall the case/cover and see if this occurs again.
