Unwanted multiple pictures on my S7

[AC Question]

For the last month or so there are multiple copies of pictures taken each time I try for a single shot. I am not using the movie mode and have not turned on the Motion Photo feature in Camera Settings. I now have a huge amount of pictures filling my Device Storage/DCIM/Camera folder although the only single files show up on the SD card. How did this happen and how can I turn off?

Sounds like bursts shots, if you tap the centre of the camera icon it should take single pic. If you long press the circle around the icon it will keep shooting until you let go. Don't think you can disable that function, just take care how you tap, use the volume buttons or get a third party camera app...
