why doesn't my phone beep anymore when i say ok google

my phone no longer beeps when i activate ok google like it used to. is there a fix?

Is your "media" volume turned up enough? Got any apps installed that can mess with the media volume? Have you tried starting your phone in Safe mode to see if the beep comes back?

Really. Didn't see many posts on the subject. Maybe I missed them. I'm still on KK so my phone still beeps. So for LP and MM, it's gone for good?

Seems like. I hadn't really noticed it disappearing until the issue was raised on the forum. It definitely used to bleep for me

Personally, I wouldn't miss the beep if it was gone. Maybe some people like it though.

Why doesn't Google give me a beep sound before I ask a question. It vibrates so quickly I'm not sure when it's ready for me to speak. I miss the sound it used to make!!!

Same thing occurs on my Note 3 w/ a rooted ported Note 5 ROM. Remove the google app from playstore and it'll revert back to an older version. Unfortunately I cannot find a way to keep the play store from updating the app like most apps so it'll probably update again. Let me know if this fixes it for you guys, it did for me.

WOW im glad i found this thread, the "Switch access" regained the beep for ok google. Before i literally had no idea when i should start talking, i didnt have a buzz either. This is on a alcatel idol 3 running marshmallow.

Since google can mess stuff up that bad i wonder if one of the accessibility settings is preventing my double tap to wake functioning at times too....

Setting Access on worked for me, useful when driving.. Thanks
