loked my phone with device manager but forgot password how do I get into my phone without resetting

I lost my phone while hanging out with friends so I ended up locking it with Android device manager but when I got my phone back I forgot the password and I cannot get back into my phone without resetting it. Is there any way to unlock my phone without totally destroying all my apps and data

You could try resetting the password via ADM.
