The last few days, I've notice that my battery life has been absolutely horrible, even when not being used. After checking the battery monitoring, it appears that the "Android System" is decimating my battery. The phone has been very warm to the touch as well. There was a recent OS update that was performed. Is my problem stemming from the recent update? Can the "Android System" be faulty? HELP!!

Have you tried wiping the cache partition and rebooting the device?
