Galaxy S7 Edge Android Auto Not Connecting to Android Auto Ford 2016 F150

[AC Question]

I have a factory installed system with sync 3 and I cannot seem to get the Android Auto to work at all. I plug my phone in the USB port and nothing happens. I can get the Bluetooth to work great every time. Phone calls work great, contacts are synced, text messages are displayed, music works great (i.e Google Play) but no Android Auto. Am i missing something stupid and i need to set up...? Also i have downloaded iHeart radio and that synced also. Not sure what i am missing.
