Can't press the 'sym' button on the keyboard.

Hi! I just bought a Samsung Galaxy s7 Edge. I immediately placed a tempered glass protector on the screen. Today, I noticed that the 'sym' button on the keyboard is not quite as responsive as it should be. All the other keys can be activated with a light touch, whereas I need to press harder for the 'sym' button. I have also tried other buttons on the homescreen, such as the call button. All are unresponsive unless pressed a bit harder (basically, buttons on the lower left corner). Is anybody experiencing similar problems? Could it be the screen protector's fault? Or have there been reports of touch screens being under sensitive?
