How do I clear the cache on a LG G5 for Facebook?

The directions I found on the forum were for a Galaxy phone and the settings were not the same. I'm trying a fix for sending messages.

Settings, Apps, swipe to All, scroll to the Facebook app, select Clear Cache.

What you were reading about the Galaxy phone might have been how to clear the system cache partition--the G5 doesn't have this option (for some reason, LG never gives the user the ability to do this).
