GPS doesn't work properly

hi guys,

I have Samsung Galaxy A3 2016 with android 6.1 and I'm having problems with the GPS.
In some apps, such as Waze or Google Maps the GPS can identify my location but when I want to plan route I get a message the GPS is not working and this is just an estimated route. With other apps, such as Drivenow, the GPS doesn't work at all.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! Just to make sure, go to Settings>Location, and let us know if it's set to High Accuracy or Battery Saving.

Location is located on privacy and safety but there is no High Accuracy or Battery Saving option.

It's not always called that. Sometimes the settings are specifically spelled out, like "GPS, Wi-fi, & Mobile Data" or "Wi-fi & Mobile Data Only." If you don't see that option on the main Location screen, try tapping the Menu or More button.

Try going to the App Manager, select one of those apps, select Permissions, and make sure they have the proper Location permission.

Also, does this happen in Safe Mode? (Since Safe Mode disables all 3rd party apps you installed, you'd have to test it on a preinstalled app like Google Maps.) How do I use Safe Mode on my Galaxy A3?
