How do I make my notifications show me the content in my lock screen?

On my Moto G 3rd gen phone, all of my notifications say content hidden and I went into my settings to change it to show all content instead of hide sensitive content but there were only the options of hide sensitive content and don't show content at all on my lock screen. I don't know why it has randomly started doing this and I don't know how to make it go back to the way it was.

Welcome to the forums. Go to settings - security - device administrators and see what's checked in that list. Have you recently installed a new app? Do you have any special account in your phone that could be the cause for blocking these contents?
