Why do my deleted emails keep coming back

Welcome to Android Central! If you're using the stock Email app, and your email account is set up to use your email provider's POP3 server instead of IMAP, then it's possible that you have the server set to keep emails even after deleting them from your phone. So the next time it syncs, those emails come back. In general, it's better to use your email provider's IMAP server, if they have one. Read about the difference here: IMAP vs POP3
