How do I disable the recent applications function on my Samsung S6?

My phone got wet and is constantly trying to load recent applications.

Evidently the water is shorting something out.. Or it has and damaged something in the circuitry. In any case, it doesn't look like a good prognosis. You can turn it off, stick it in some rice, or take it to a repair shop who can take it to pieces and try to dry it out. I doubt that this will end well to be honest...
