galaxy s6 will not boot into download mode - asian diagnostics screen appears instead

I've tried the power down and then hold the vol down, home, power button method with no luck. Just bought phone and it says SD card is damaged. I know there is no card on this model.

That message will appear when the internal memory is failing. I would recommend returning the phone
