Email app won't sync sent messages

Hi all, I have the following problem, hope you can help!

I use 2 separate mail accounts on my phone (Alcatel One Touch Idol 3). One of my accounts suddenly started to not synchronizing outgoing mails. Auto sync is set to 5 minutes. This is my business account, and incoming mails are synced perfectly, but I can't see most of my sent mails.

Since my stock email app now opens gmail, I've searched my mails in outgoing and sent folders, but none of them showing up there, however I was able to find some of them in a folder called "sent items".

Any idea to fix this? (I've not tried to delete and add this account again, but I hope that there is an easier option, cos our IT guy was not happy in the first place to connect my personal mobile device to our server.)
