    The SIM is connected (logically, not physically) to your phone number, so unless you can duplicate the SIM (which is illegal), you can have only 1 device per number.

    That is just simply not true with AT&T NumberSync. But I have a feeling NumberSync, VoLTE, WiFi Calling, and built-in visual voicemail will not work with the unlocked version of the Pixel on AT&T like it will on Verizon. Google partnered with Verizon this time, unfortunately, and AT&T is being very mum about the whole thing. They'll probably carry it in a few months time with these features, but will also be loaded full of their crapware to make that possible, as is typical for them.
