my Samsung Tab A suddenly asked for a Password.

I have never used a password the entire time I have used the device. I am now locked out & Samsung Live Chat haven't been able to resolve the issue. A suggestion on this site is to download Device Manager but how do I do this when I cannot get past the Enter Password screen? Any ideas please?

Android Device Manager is accessed on another device... like a PC. You sign in with your Google account and go through the options to change your password on your Tab. I'm surprised Samsung chat couldn't help you change the password.
