    Today the calendar on my Motorola Nexus 6 has reset today's date to 1 January 1970.

    That is the beginning of UNIX time. Try a Cache Clear for the Calendar app.

    Welcome to Android Central! Also, what does your system date and time read? Go to Settings>Date & Time, and make sure it's set to Automatic Date & Time and Automatic Time Zone.
