Bluetoot headset makes background noise when a sound is played

I have paired a LG G4 with Audio Technica ATH ANC40BT via bluetooth. Whenever I play a sound, such as the sound that it makes when you press a keyboard key, or music, or any sound at all, it produces a background noise for the duration of the sound. When there is no sound being played, there is no background noise.
Tried turning off Wifi, disabling all other Bluetooth connections but don't help. Any help is appreciated.
