Why won't my Samsung gear S2 find work wifi?

I have just bought a samsung gear s2 and it does not find the university wifi (eduroam). Does anyone know a reason for this? The Samsung support centre guy didn't even realise these watches had wifi and the the suggestion from the helpline was to turn it off and on again and wander around the building!
It finds all sorts of random other networks but not the one I need to connect to.

The WiFi server probably not designed to pair with such devices. I bet your phone finds it....?
