Is a micro USB cable compatible with Google Pixel's USB Type C connection?

My car instrument panel is capable of controlling my phone if I have it plugged into the OEM suppled cable. The auto manufacturer offers a micro and mini USB cable for Android phones. Will the new Google Pixel phone with a USB Type C connection be able to plug into one of these OEM supplied cables so that my car can then control the phone? Or does the cable have to be a Type C USB cable?
