What application is causing Traffic Incident messages and how do i turn them off? ]

The messages are much too generic to be useful. The messages are for traffic incidents many many miles from my me on a part of the highway that i do not travel.

I was using waze at the time. When i click on the notifications it takes me to the Google search screen.

Yesterday i got 3 messages within 15 minutes in my pull down notifications. All 3 notifications were for the same incident

Welcome to Android Central! It's most likely from the Google app itself. The next time you see the notification, open your Google app, and see if the traffic card is there. If so, then tap the 3 dot button associated with the card, and select the "Not interested" option.
