Why is my WiFi not working?

A

AC Question

When I try to connect to wifi, there are no options on the wifi screen. It just says "searching for wifi networks" and it never shows anything, even if I try to turn it on and then back off. I've tried restarting my phone and the router. When I restart my phone, the wifi turns off and on constantly, connecting to the wifi, then turning off again. It's not a problem with the router because it's working for everything else.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have? Does this happen with other wi-fi networks as well (like in your local coffee shop or library)?

A factory reset is deleting your data - that's what it's for. So no, you can't delete all your data without deleting all your data. (Normally a wifi failure is a hardware problem - which a factory reset doesn't fix.)
