Why can't I move my files to my SD Card in my samsung galaxy note 3?

I want to reset my phone to its factory settings but I don't wanna lose the data saved in my internal storage so I wanted to move it into my sd card but when I tried to move it there was no option to move it to my sd card. Only a delete icon appears on the upper right when I select a file. I have a samsung galaxy note 3 btw.

there could be certain files that are note allowed to be transferred to a location outside the internal storage of the phone. What files are you trying to transfer though? Have you tried doing it using a computer(connecting your droid on it)?

And moving apps to the SD card (if you could) doesn't move their data, only the apps themselves.

If you just want to back the apps up, use App Backup & Restore.
