Samsung EarBuds' in-line controls not working on Moto X 2014 but working fully on Moto G 3??

So I got the Samsung Standard Earbuds that come with the Galaxy S6, they have 3 in-line buttons, Play/Pause, Vol. Up and Vol. Down, I have a Moto X 2014 and when I try to use these controls while playing music they do absolutely nothing, but today I tried them with a Moto G 3rd generation and the buttons freaking work!?! (WTF), I would like to know, is there any way to make them work on the Moto X? I would imagine there is because they worked with another phone also from Motorola.
If anyone could help me I would appreciate quite a lot
