Double pound sign problem on Samsung

Hi, every time I type a pound sign in an email another appears as it tries to predict what I'll type. The predictive but is fine, but I end up with ££100..00. Any idea why? Thanks.

Hi, does this only happen when typing an email? also what keyboard are you using on the phone?

Just emails, and it's the standard keyboard. Thanks
